Healthcare Design is our passion. It is what we do and is all that we do. We believe in Healthcare Design that is functionally sound, cost effective, aesthetically innovative, and structured to meet the demands of a rapidly-changing healthcare environment. Truly successful Healthcare Design, however, transcends these fundamentals. ARTEKNA is dedicated to creating projects that inspire; that become places of healing; that become places to enjoy and work efficiently; that foster community pride. In these 20 years, we have had the privilege of working in partnership with over 150 healthcare providers on over 2,000 healthcare projects. We look forward to the challenges of the future with optimism and enthusiasm. What does "ARTEKNA" mean? We are often asked what the word "ARTEKNA" means. Naming the new firm was one of the most difficult tasks that we faced 20 years ago. We searched for a name that reflected the focus on which Artekna was founded: creativity and innovation that was supported by focus, dedication and insight. The name "ARTEKNA" is derived from two Greek words: "arch" - foremost, of the highest quality or level; and "techne" - the skills of a craftsman. Simply stated, ARTEKNA is The Art of Doing Something Well.
